Airedale Terrier
Dog - Airedale Terrier,  Puppy picture, information.
Airedale Terrier - These dogs, known as the “King of the Terriers,” originated in Yorkshire, England. Standing 23 inches at the shoulders, they have been used for farm work, police duty and military defense.  They are loyal and protective towards family but reserved with other people and dogs. Grooming for the show circuit requires hand-stripping the coat, but pets can be kept neat with regular clipping.  These dogs require lots of exercise.  Contact the dog breeders below for your next family friend. Here is picture of airedale picture terrier
Airedale Terrier excellent housedog, they are sweet of disposition, devoted to their owners but aloof with strangers. They make excellent companions and are good with children. Considered to be very intelligent and easy to train, they are a determined dog so early obedience training will help make them an excellent family pet. They are very energetic and should be exercised daily.
The Airedale Terrier is a medium-sized dog with males standing about 23 inches at the shoulder and weighing about 65 pounds. Bitches are about an inch shorter and weigh five-to-ten pounds less than the males. In profile, the body and legs of an Airedale should form a square with the height at the shoulders equal to the length of the dog from the front of the chest to the farthest reach of the buttock. All Airedale Terriers are tan or reddish tan in color with a black or grizzle saddle that often extends from high on the neck over the body and tail. The Airedale has a double coat with hard, dense, wiry outer hairs over a soft undercoat.Longer hair known as furnishings is found on the muzzle, where it is called a beard, and over the full length of the legs. The coat should never be curly, but a slight crinkling or wave, especially on the saddle, is acceptable.
Airedales exhibit some herding characteristics as well, and have a propensity to chase animals. They have no size  problem working with cattle and livestock, however, an Airedale that is not well trained will agitate and annoy the animals.
The Airedale Terrier is typically an independent (stubborn), strong-minded dog with a great sense of humour. For those who can laugh along with their Airedale, patience will be rewarded as they have been known to reach great heights in competitive obedience, dog agility, and Schutzhund. They are also very loving. The Airedale is also a reliable and protective family pet. Due to Airedale stubborness, they can often be difficult to train, and require constant re-inforcement, or they may soon forget. Young Airedales exhibit a general lack of common sense, and require much training. They are also very energetic, and need plenty of exercise.
