Crosses between long-snouted toy spaniels and short-snouted breeds such as the Pug or Japanese Chin in the 18th and 19th centuries led to the breed’s current appearance.
The soft, silky coat is well feathered and comes in four colors varieties: King Charle, Ruby , Blenheim, Prince Charles .

Temperament:
Frenchies make excellent pets for either apartments or homes, and they are comfortable as either city dogs or country dwellers. The ears and the cheeks are red, with a blaze of white extending from the nose up the forehead and ending between the ears in a crescentic curve. The English Spaniel is a gentle breed that typically has a happy-go-lucky attitude. Like many other companion dog breeds they require close contact with humans.
