Shar Pei is a breed of dog whose distinctive feature is deep wrinkles.  The popular theory about the bear-coat is that it’s a “throwback” to the chow-chow.. Coat colors include all solid colors and sables.Shar-Peis is very loyal to his handler. The loose skin and wrinkles covering the heads, neck and body are superabundant in puppies but these features may be limited to the heads, neck and withers in adult.

History:
he Shar Pei breed comes from the Guangzhou province of China where it was well-known as a fighting and guard dog.The dogs are ideally suited for defense; the small ears and deep-set eyes are tough to grab and if grabbed on the skin, the wrinkles enable the dog to turn around and bite back.

Height: 18-20 inches (46-52cm.)
Weight: 40-55 pounds (18-25kg.)

The disease causes short fevers lasting up to 24 hours, after which there may be no recurrence; alternatively they may recur at more frequent intervals, becoming more serious.The Shar-pei can be found in three different coat lengths: horsecoat (less than 1/7″), brushcoat (up to 1″), and bearcoat (more than 1″). Some says SharPey or Shar Pey Dog its not correct , original is Chinese Shar Pei.
