The are Cairn Terrier is a breed of dog of the terrier category. One of the oldest terriers, originating in the Scottish Highlands, used for hunting burrowing prey among the cairns. Cairn terrier picture :
Health:
Even if the Cairn does not show symptoms of corn allergy, because corn allergies are so prevalent and can show up at any time in the life of the dog, it is recommended to a avoid corn even with a healthy dog.Carried gaily but must not curl over back. Set on at back level.
Appearance and Size:
Height: Dogs 10-12 inches (25-30 cm)
Weight: Dogs 14-18 pounds  (6-8 kg)
Bitches 9-12 inches     (23-30 cm)
Bitches 13-17 pounds  (6-8 kg)
European Cairns tend to be larger than American Cairns. Due to irresponsible breeding, many Cairns available today are much smaller or much larger than the breed standard.The Cairn is double-coated, with a soft, dense undercoat and a harsh outer coat.
Temperament:
The muzzle is long with a slightly rounded head.
They are known to be great family pets, and have endearing personalities.Like most terriers, they are stubborn and strong-willed, and love to dig after real or imagined prey. They are known to be great with respectful childrens . Cairn Terrier  are affectionate, energetic, and playfuls .
